The SEED Program
Supporting Local Choreographers and Dance-makers
Now in it's second year, the SEED Program is VPL's offering to help strengthen our local dance ecology. SEED is designed for professional artists working in dance, who are seeking to develop new small scale performance projects for regional touring. Artists selected for SEED receive a commissioning fee, presentation of their new work at VPL, travel stipend and housing, high quality video documentation, and project management consultations with VPL’s Director. VPL is partnering with Studio 303 in Montréal to co-host residencies at their space and to send Quebec artists to VPL.
2017 SEED Artist, choreographer Hanna Satterlee, is developing Voice and Vessel, a new project with Delaney Delaney McDonough and Caitlin Scholl, which will be featured as a work-in-progress at this year's VPL Open Lab in July.
