The Rockingham Arts and Museum Project (RAMP) and Vermont Performance Lab (VPL) in coordination with the Town of Rockingham's Classic Movie nights are hosting Singing in the Rain, December 12, 2012 at 7 PM at the Bellows Falls Opera House.
VPL and RAMP are hosting a $35 ticket and pre-movie dinner at 5:30 PM at Robert McBride's home at 82 Canal Street in Bellows Falls, to help raise funds to continue creating dynamic projects involving the arts that benefit our local community.
Singin' in the Rain is a 1952 American musical comedy film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds and directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, with Kelly also providing the choreography. It offers a lighthearted depiction of Hollywood, with the three stars portraying performers caught up in the transition from silent films to "talkies."
RAMP and VPL are two dynamic arts organizations in southeastern VT that support artists and the arts in creating healthy vital communities. This summer VPL initiated: Bellows Falls Action Conversations in partnership with Youth Services of Windham County which was a workshop and film project with choreographer Victoria Marks and filmmaker Ann Kaneko. The project brings teen and adult women from the Bellows Falls community into an "action conversation."
The Bellows Falls Opera House is wheel chair accessible.
